Services
Trusted acid mine drainage (AMD)
Whether in operation or inoperative, mine water must be kept at an acceptable and safe level, or contaminated water must be brought to surface for treatment. Utilising the trusted Carl-Hamm ZSM Pipe connection system which offers a safe, quick and flangeless installation to handle the abstraction and dewatering of mine water (AMD) for virgin mines, control running or closed mines, and reclaim flooded mines.
The ZSM system suspends pumps and dewaters from surface – with no need to enter the mine. It also applies to services infrastructure in a raise bore catering for: Refrigerated water | Fuel, air and water pumping columns | Batching concrete. The tight sleeve ZSM is an axial, non-positive and detachable pipe connection, used as a vertical riser pipe in open pit / underground mines and in deep wells. Their patent protected tight sleeve system is a unique alternative to other conventional connection systems due to its quick and easy assembly / disassembly and space-saving design – with considerable cost savings through the whole life cycle.
Pumps
CHPPS experience in water management makes them a competent partner in abstraction and drainage projects. Their range of pumps is of robust design and technologically advanced to offer reduced wear in the most challenging high pressure mining applications; offering multistage units that can cope with 5% per volume / 50,000 Parts Per Million (PPM), against the mere 300-500 PPM of conventional mine dewatering pumps.
CHPPS offers on-site commissioning assistance and troubleshooting, laser alignment and condition / vibration analysis, flow rate measuring, workshop pump rebuild and repair, and supervision. Clients are invited to our in-house Training Centre to receive full instruction in the use of our pump range.
